ABOUT THE BAND

Rachel Rizner & The Resonators began in 2007, with Rachel Rizner and the great Vince White performing as an acoustic duo.  After their first set at The Knitting Factory received a rave reception, they explored adding more original songs to their set, many from Vince's earlier collaborations with other artists.

Rachel Rizner grew up in a tiny town on the East Coast.  Her musical influences include everything from Sam Cooke and Led Zepplin to Susan Tedeschi to Lucinda Williams and Simon & Garfunkle.  She grew up listening to Hendrix, Janis, and The Rolling Stones; while her mom's influence (and control of the car radio!) gave her a background in the harmonies of classic groups like Eagles, Hall & Oates, and Peter, Paul & Mary.

Vince White, lead guitarist and band leader, is originally from the Bay Area.  He has been performing as a session musician and in SoCal blues acts since 2006.  In addition to writing original music for The Resonators, he also works with LA Bands Devon & Crazy Heart, Kasey Lansdale, and Sayed Sabrina.  Vince also leads the band for Dwight Payne & The Blues Butchers. For those interested in learning to do what he does, Vince teaches guitar, harmonica, and bass.  Contact the band for more info!

The next person to join the project in 2008 was Art Haedike.  An outstanding guitarist and vocalist in his own right, he adds rhythm and rock to the band as the bass player.  Influenced by the swamp rock and country of his roots in Florida, Art is the heart of the group, bringing a great energy to the stage, no matter how long the set.

Adam Huntley joined the band as a rhythm and lead guitarist in 2015.  Adam spent his youth in Southern Californa, listening to Van Halen and Stevie Ray and Jimmie Vaughan.  With skills that can attack surf rock, crowd favorites, and slow blues with equal skill; he keeps the show moving.

Dwight Payne, touring drummer and the face of The Blues Butchers, is the band's most frequent drummer.

Tony Lopez, of Tony Lopez & the All Star Band, is also a welcome collaborator on drums.
